Hyperhidrosis, also known as excessive sweating, can be classified as either primary or secondary and may affect the entire body or be limited to specific areas. Treatment involves injecting botulinum toxin type A into targeted areas such as the underarms, hands, or feet. The toxin works by blocking nerve signals responsible for activating the sweat glands. Importantly, it does not affect other nerve functions like touch sensitivity. The procedure is performed by an aesthetic medicine doctor and begins with the application of a topical numbing cream to ensure comfort. Results typically appear within a few days and last between 3 to 9 months. Once the effects wear off, the treatment can be safely repeated.

Botulinum toxin treatment for hyperhidrosis can be used on the following areas:
This treatment is suitable for both younger and more mature clients. It should always be preceded by a specialist consultation, during which the doctor will assess the condition of your skin and create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs.
STEP I: Application of numbing cream
STEP II: Disinfection
STEP III: Injection of the product
The result of hyperhidrosis treatment is the elimination of excessive sweating—along with the unpleasant odor and sweat stains it can cause. Botox also helps to refresh the skin’s appearance, subtly improving minor imperfections, particularly on the face. If the results are not fully satisfactory, the doctor may perform the Minor’s test during a follow-up visit. This test pinpoints areas of persistent sweating, allowing for a precise touch-up treatment using botulinum toxin in those specific spots.
Contraindications to hyperhidrosis treatment include sensitivity to any ingredients in the product. The procedure is not suitable for individuals with neuromuscular transmission disorders or blood clotting issues. It is also not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Injections cannot be performed if the patient has an active skin infection in the treatment area.

It’s recommended to have a pedicure shortly before undergoing hyperhidrosis treatment for the feet.Removing thickened or callused skin using a professional tool like a milling machine or scalpel helps ensure better access to the treatment area, making the injection process smoother and more effective.
Botulinum toxin type A is unmatched in its effectiveness. No other substances or methods offer the same level of precision and reliability in blocking sweat production in the treated areas. It directly targets the nerve signals responsible for activating the sweat glands, making it the gold standard for localized hyperhidrosis treatment—especially in areas like the underarms, hands, feet, and face.
