Good skin condition is key to a beautiful, fresh, and youthful appearance. There are many aesthetic medicine treatments that can noticeably improve skin tone, firmness, and hydration levels. One of the latest innovations — both in Poland and worldwide — is biostimulation. What is it, how does the treatment work, and is it painful? These are some of the most common questions we hear whenever we introduce a new procedure. Today, we’re here to answer them all and offer you a mini-guide packed with the information you’re looking for. Let’s get started!
When your skin starts to lose its elasticity and no longer feels as firm and toned as it once did, it can impact your entire appearance — causing the facial contours to sag and the so-called “jowls” to form around the cheeks and jawline. Over time, fine lines begin to appear as well — first expression lines, and later deeper wrinkles.
How can you deal with this? Is it possible to reverse or at least slow down this process?
Many women initially reach for anti-aging and deeply moisturizing creams, which certainly help — but only on the surface layer of the skin. In reality, this approach is unfortunately not enough.
A much more effective and exciting alternative is a treatment that’s slightly more invasive than applying a cream — but the results of this therapy are truly impressive and continue to surprise women around the world. What are we talking about?
Biostimulation treatments are still relatively new both in Poland and internationally — but they are already winning the trust of more and more people.
Biostimulation conditions the skin by triggering its natural regenerative processes at the cellular level.

Biostimulation involves injecting a specialized formula that stimulates the regeneration of the extracellular matrix and boosts the production of collagen and elastin. In a way, the treatment “forces” the cells to rebuild tissue, leading to visibly denser, deeply nourished, and well-hydrated skin.
Patients often say that the “quality” of their skin improves — it becomes noticeably firmer, more toned, and as a result, looks significantly more youthful!
At the Anti-Aging Clinic, we perform biostimulation treatments tailored to each patient’s individual needs. Treatments are carried out in a series of sessions, with the number of sessions depending on the condition of the facial skin.
Unlike fillers, which deliver visible results immediately after application, biostimulation requires a bit more patience before the first effects become noticeable. However, it’s important to remember that biostimulation works naturally by activating the body’s own cellular mechanisms, making it a much safer option — and one that provides longer-lasting results.
You’ll begin to notice gradual changes in your facial appearance over the course of about three months. Only after this time can the final effects of the treatment be fully evaluated.
Anyone looking to achieve the following results can benefit from personalized biostimulation:
revitalization of the skin around the eyes
slowing down the skin’s aging processes
antioxidant action (protection against oxidative stress)
reduction of facial, neck, and décolletage wrinkles
rejuvenation of the skin not only on the face but also, for example, on the backs of the hands
smoothing even deeper facial lines and folds
improvement in skin condition, density, and nourishment
deep hydration at the cellular level
enhanced facial contours
more elastic, youthful, and attractive-looking skin
When should you book a treatment?
At any time — whether you notice the first signs of skin aging or you’re already dealing with more advanced wrinkles.
Patients who want to enhance their well-being and achieve a more youthful, firmer appearance have traditionally asked about treatments using hyaluronic acid-based products. But is this procedure comparable to skin biorevitalization? Can biostimulation be an alternative to fillers?
The answer is: no. These are two completely different procedures used in aesthetic medicine. Hyaluronic acid acts as a filler — it is injected into specific areas the patient wishes to enhance or highlight. The results are visible almost immediately, once the natural swelling from the injection subsides.
Biostimulation, on the other hand, is not used to fill or augment targeted areas of the face. Instead, it aims to stimulate the skin’s natural regenerative processes — both in its surface layers and deeper structures. This treatment encourages cells to produce new collagen and elastin, improving skin elasticity, minimizing tissue sagging, and providing a subtle lifting effect — all without altering the natural features of the face.
Although biostimulation is considered a safe procedure, there are certain situations where a specialist may refuse to perform the treatment. The most common reasons include oncological diseases, autoimmune conditions, and blood clotting disorders. Biostimulation is also not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Additionally, bacterial or viral infections, as well as poor skin condition, are contraindications for the treatment.
In most cases, doctors specializing in aesthetic medicine provide a set of recommendations to follow before undergoing beauty treatments. However, biostimulation is an exception — no special preparation is needed. A natural formula is used to stimulate collagen production, which significantly reduces the risk of allergic reactions or other complications.
The treatment does not require any downtime. Immediately afterward, you may notice slight swelling and redness at the injection sites. However, just like with other minimally invasive aesthetic procedures, these symptoms are short-lived.
After the treatment, continue with your usual skincare routine, adding a moisturizer suitable for your skin type. If you experience uneven skin tone due to redness, you can cover it with makeup — but avoid using colored cosmetics during the first 24 hours after the procedure. Be patient and remember that the results take time to develop — don’t look for changes in the mirror every day. As the days pass, you’ll gradually notice more and more signs of skin regeneration and wrinkle reduction. Time will once again work in your favor!
