Ear piercing is not performed in cases of infections or skin conditions located around the ear, as well as during active systemic inflammation. Other contraindications include uncontrolled autoimmune diseases and a tendency to form keloids, which may interfere with proper healing. The procedure should also be postponed in the presence of recent sunburn or skin damage, as these can increase the risk of irritation and complications.

Yes, once the piercings are fully healed (usually after 6–8 weeks), you can change the earrings yourself. However, for added safety, we recommend having the first change done at the clinic—during a follow-up visit, our specialist will assist you in a hygienic and controlled environment.
The risk of an allergic reaction is minimal, as the earrings used during the procedure are hypoallergenic and free from common irritants such as nickel or cobalt. However, if you have a history of severe skin allergies, it’s important to inform the specialist before the procedure.
At our clinic, we pierce children’s ears from the age of 5 and up. We recommend that the child willingly expresses interest in getting their ears pierced and understands the nature of the procedure.
